Urban Shawerma: A modern take on a local classic

AMMAN — Fast-casual food can be hard to perfect. It can be
greasy, hard to digest, and leave you feeling guilty and bloated after. Not to
mention that the typical classics can get boring after so many years. This is why
it is always exciting when a restaurant deviates from the norm, doing something
unique with cliché dishes. Urban Shawerma, as the name implies, is a restaurant
that specializes in providing modern twists on local classics.اضافة اعلان

Urban Shawerma is a small restaurant located in Abdoun, it provides options for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. On the menu, you’ll find an increased amount options than you would at your typical shawarma restaurant. From burgers, chicken sandwiches to onion rings, you’re sure to find something you enjoy here.
During our meal there, we ordered all of the dishes mentioned above. But, we wanted to try something new. They recently added a new item to their menu, which I was extremely eager to try, the “Loaded Shawarma Fries.”
A Jordanian twist on the modern concept of loaded fries, this dish consists of all the ingredients one would expect to find in a shawarma sandwich mixed with french fries and drizzled in cheese.
These fries provide a unique fusion of two classics made for a filling meal, which, if eaten alone, could keep you stuffed for hours. If you’re craving comfort food but are looking for something unique, I couldn’t recommend this more.

Everything else we ordered was what I would consider the gold standard of fast-casual restaurants. The onion rings were crunchy, the chicken sandwich was perfectly crisped, and everything was to our liking. But the true star of the show is the Urban Burger. While it has all the classic components of a typical burger, its quality surpasses most places that specialize in burgers.

Served on a toasted potato bun, drenched in the signature Urban sauce, garnished with fresh and crunchy vegetables, the Urban Burger has quickly become my go-to option when I crave a hamburger. It also happens to be a perfect size; it’s not so large that you are left feeling like you are bursting at the seams, but large enough to feel completely satisfied.
Overall, I cannot recommend Urban Shawerma enough. The quality of their ingredients and unique dishes will make it impossible for me to settle for a second-rate fast food restaurant after giving them a taste.
