AMMAN – As
the
assault on Gaza looks like it will enter into its third week, the
dehumanization of Palestinians is seemingly at an all-time high.

Vice president for studies at Carnegie Endowment for
International Peace
Marwan Al-Muasher told
Jordan News that Israel is
exploiting this war to dehumanize Palestinians, and Israeli propaganda likens
Hamas to Daesh and seeks to present a distorted image of the Palestinians
and the Arabs.
Muasher
considered that the ongoing war must be taken in the context of the occupation
and the lack of political security to resolve the issue, and the isolation that
Gaza is experiencing cannot keep them silent.
“I
am against killing civilians from all sides,” he said. “Today,
Gaza is under bombardment, and thousands of innocent people have died, the world seems to
have given the green light to Israel.”
Muasher
described the Arab role as shy in discussing the issue and said there is
political and media negligence, as the situation is a state of political
insecurity and a real crisis.
“We are entering a dark phase. There must be greater efforts to stop the massacres in some way and launch a political process for this occupation. “
In
the past, crises in the past have led to breakthroughs, but the initial
indications of this war show we are heading towards a “brutal” war. Until this
moment, Israel has not entered the
Gaza Strip, and it is expected that tens of
thousands of people will be killed.
He
added that the US administration is not ready to engage in a political process,
and right-wing racism in Israel meant they were not ready to enter into
negotiations. He asked who would ring the bell and turn the destruction into a
political breakthrough.
“We
are entering a dark phase. There must be greater efforts to stop the massacres
in some way and launch a political process for this occupation. “
Political
analyst Labeeb Qamhawi told
Jordan News that the hate speech against the
Palestinians in this battle was not only from the Israeli side but also from
the West and especially the
United States, explaining that international humanitarian
law and human rights are activated in a way that suits the Israeli interest, so
it commits massacres without accountability. It is clear that Israel is still
taking revenge and is in a state of panic that it has never experienced before
because the security measures did not protect it.
He
stressed the Palestinian position denies the legitimacy of Israel's existence,
which pushed it into a state of panic and started using words that are not used
in war or in international politics. However, Blinken stood crying over the
Israelis.
He
added that it is noticeable that the
Arab media broadcasting news did not
support Palestinians, it talks about the Palestinians and the Israelis equally,
and this is not permissible because the Palestinian are oppressed in their
land.
The
founder and director general of the Amman-based
Al-Quds Center for Political Studies Oraib Al-Rentawi told
Jordan News the Palestinians are being
subjected to genocide and collective punishment, while Israel has committed
crimes against international humanitarian law and the abolition of the idea of
Palestinian humanity.
“Today, Gaza is under bombardment, and thousands of innocent people have died, the world seems to have given the green light to Israel.”
He
considered international law flawed because it is
sponsored by the United States and the European Union and they use it in line with their interests.
He
added this war aims to destroy any hope for the establishment of a state for
the Palestinians and their empowerment in life, as well as any hope for
generations to resist Israel.
Rentawi
added that Israel is trying to exploit "despicable" international
hypocrisy, wondering whether Hamas really needs two American aircraft carriers
and British warships.
He
pointed out that the West's reactions were very shocking and it revealed the
truth about “those who claim to adhere to human rights.”
He
said that the image of Israel began to become clear to the world that it is the
criminal and its story is false.
