AMMAN — In June, the
Anti-Narcotics Administration tackled
593 cases of drug trafficking and promotion, resulting in the arrest of 1,098
individuals, including high-risk offenders. These individuals have been
referred to the
Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court.

In an official press statement,
Amer Al-Sartawi, spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate revealed that the authorities
confiscated 124kg of hashish, 900,000 capsules of the
narcotic drug Captagon,
8,000 narcotic pills, 4kg of crystal methamphetamine, 37kg of marijuana, 24
grams of cocaine, 2kg of synthetic cannabis, and 2.4kg of powdered synthetic
cannabis. Additionally, a collection of firearms was also recovered, Al Mamlaka
TV reported.
Furthermore, during the month of June, the
Drug Rehabilitation Center, under the administration's supervision, admitted a total
of 85 cases for treatment and follow-up visits. This indicates the ongoing
efforts to provide support and assistance to individuals struggling with
addiction.
