AMMAN — During the first ten days
of this year, the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company filled about 1.5 million
gas cylinders, according the company’s CEO Abdul Karim Al-Alawin.

In 2022, the three
gas stations owned by
the company filled 35 million gas cylinders, about 3 million more cylinders
than in 2021, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Last year also saw a rise in the number of
new gas cylinders sold in the Kingdom, which reached 172,000 gas cylinders,
compared to 150,000 in 2021, the CEO noted during a press conference held at
the company's office in Amman.
More than 90 percent of the gas consumed in Jordan is imported.
Al-Alawin said that the company’s three
stations in Amman, Irbid, and Zarqa have a filling capacity of about 280,000
cylinders per day.

supply of gas in Aqaba, where it is stored before being transported to the

A machine for cleaning and sterilizing gas
cylinders has been installed on one of the filling lines at the Amman Gas
Filling Station, with a cleaning capacity of 700 cylinders per hour, he said.
