Traffic departments and Civil Defense teams responded to multiple accidents over the past 24 hours, resulting in 10 injuries, including severe cases, as well as material damage to vehicles.

اضافة اعلانA Traffic Patrol Operations Officer, speaking on Public Security Radio on Sunday, stated that a tourist vehicle overturned on the Jordan Valley road, causing three injuries. The injured were transported to the hospital for necessary treatment, and traffic was restored after clearing the accident site.
Additionally, the officer reported a pedestrian accident and a three-vehicle collision on the Amman-Zarqa Highway, just past the Abu Siyah Bridge. The accident resulted in one severe injury and two moderate injuries, all of whom were taken to Prince Faisal Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Traffic Department Operations Officer stated that a vehicle overturned at the Sixth Circle this morning, causing one injury to the driver, who was transported to the hospital. The accident site was cleared to restore traffic flow.
In another incident, a bus driver suddenly changed lanes, colliding with a school fence, which led to the bus overturning inside the school premises. In Zarqa, another accident occurred when a driver crashed into a streetlight and a tunnel wall, injuring himself and his daughter, who were both taken to the hospital.
In Karak, a 9-year-old girl suffered a serious injury after being hit by a vehicle due to the driver's failure to take necessary precautions while driving. She was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities also responded to two vehicle breakdowns on Jordan Street, near Queen Alia Hospital, causing minor traffic congestion.
Traffic Safety Advisory:
Traffic authorities urged drivers to exercise caution, especially with the onset of rainfall, which increases the risk of slippery roads, water accumulation, and reduced visibility. Drivers were advised to:
- Ensure their vehicle's technical condition is suitable for the road.
- Adhere to traffic rules and right-of-way regulations to maintain smooth traffic flow.
- Avoid reckless violations to protect themselves and other road users.
Authorities also reminded the public to call the emergency hotline (911) if assistance is needed.
