AMMAN — The student bloc "Ahel Al-Himma" at the University of Jordan, the country's largest university, has officially announced the withdrawal of more than 100 Jordanian students from this year's "Hult Prize" global competition. This decision is a direct response to the participation of universities from the occupying state. The bloc takes this stance in solidarity with the Palestinian people in both Gaza and the occupied West Bank. In a notable move, 30 Jordanian teams that were initially nominated for the prestigious global competition have declined to participate. This collective action follows the controversial decision to include universities from the Israeli occupation in the event, Quds Press reported. The "Hult Prize" stands out as one of the most significant annual competitions for university students on a global scale. Throughout the year, students contribute ideas after facing challenges aimed at addressing urgent global issues such as food security, water access, energy, and education. The competition aligns with one of the United Nations' global development goals each year. This principled stand by the "Ahel Al-Himma" bloc underscores its commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause. The decision reflects a rejection of any form of collaboration with entities associated with the occupying state. The bloc emphasizes the importance of solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly in light of ongoing challenges, including the recent series of tragic events in Gaza and the West Bank.   (window.globalAmlAds = window.globalAmlAds || []).push('admixer_async_509089081')   (window.globalAmlAds = window.globalAmlAds || []).push('admixer_async_552628228') Read More Lebanese Parliament's First Session for Presidential Election Ends Without Consensus Head of the Royal Hashemite Court Inspects Royal Initiatives Projects in the Capital Governorate Yarmouk University Announces Results of a Survey on Women's Participation in Political and Party Life
