13 unlicensed pharmacies shut down in Amman

AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) monitoring and inspection teams have shut down 13 branches of an unlicensed pharmaceutical company, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. JFDA Director-General Nizar Mheidat said the company was caught opening branches in Amman and practicing the profession without acquiring a license from the Ministry of Health. The JFDA called on citizens to contact it if they have any observation, inquiry, or complaint via the toll-free complaints line 117114, e-mail info@jfda.jo, and through the "WhatsApp" application on the number 0795632000 available around the clock. JFDA Director-General Nizar Mheidat said the company was caught opening branches in Amman and practicing the profession without acquiring a license from the Ministry of Health.
