15% decrease in births in Jordan in the last five years

AMMAN— The birth rate in Jordan amounted to 18.1 per thousand people in 2021, according to data released by the Civil Status and Passports Department, Khaberni News reported.اضافة اعلان

According to the data, the number of male births to female births increased during the same year, reaching 112.5 males per 100 females, a local media outlet reported. 

The data also showed that the number of births in Jordan decreased while the number of deaths increased from 2017 to 2021.
