AMMAN — The
Ministry of Water and Irrigation said on Saturday that the most recent front contributed to
filling the main dams in the Kingdom with around 2 million cubic meters of
water in 24 hours; most of this water, 1,250 million cubic meters, was
collected in King Talal Dam, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Meanwhile, the total amount of
water collected in the Kingdom dams since the beginning of the rainy season and until
Saturday morning amounted to 35.5 million cubic meters.
According to a ministry press
release, the amount of rain in all governorates of the
Kingdom since the
beginning of the season until Saturday morning had increased to 58 percent; the
highest amount of rain was recorded in Karak governorate.
As to the amounts of precipitation
recorded at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation stations during the past 24
hours, the figures are as follows: the capital, Amman, recorded 18.7mm, Balqa
14.5mm, Madaba 8.5mm, Zarqa 4.4mm, Jarash 7.4mm, Mafraq 3.4mm, Irbid 10.2 mm, Ajloun
8.2mm, Karak 22.6mm, Tafileh 12.6mm, Maan 3mm, Aqaba 1.9mm.
