Hamza Al-Dabbas, head of Medical Professions
Licensing Department at the ministry, said that in this period they received 57
complaints about unlicensed health care institutions, and failure to obtain
permits to practice medicine for non-Jordanian health care workers.
Dabbas told Al-Ghad that violators referred to
the prosecutor included medical centers, hospitals, and dental clinics.
He said that the employees of the Medical Professions Licensing Department carried out visits
to centers, institutions, and hospitals during the same period, to ensure compliance
with the Public Health Law and its regulations and instructions.
The department closed seven skincare centers, while
issuing 20 others with warnings. They also closed five medical laboratories and
issued 15 with warnings. They closed a physiotherapy center and warned two. The
closed institutions were referred to the prosecuting authorities.
In addition to its inspection role, the licensing department

hospitals, private medical laboratories, general medicine and emergency
centers, dental clinics, and centers for other health professions such as
physical medicine and rehabilitation, audiology, nutritional consultation, and
others.
Dabbas pointed out that the Ministry of Health is following up on
citizens' complaints filed to the department or through social media, in
