AMMAN — The 2023
Infinite Defender (ID) joint naval exercise
commenced on Sunday with the participation of the
Royal Jordanian Naval Force (RJNF), the Royal Boats Command, and the
U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT). The exercise was attended by Colonel Hisham Jarrah, the RJNF
Commander, and the Deputy Commander of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

Over the span of two weeks, this drill seeks to implement a series
of collaborative naval exercises in line with the strategy of bolstering
military cooperation between
Jordanian and U.S. navies, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra reported. According to a statement by RJNF, it also aims to enhance the
defense capabilities within shared operational plans.
The exercise's focal points encompass security training,
anti-piracy measures, safeguarding critical maritime infrastructure, and
conducting humanitarian operations.
Additionally, it facilitates the exchange of joint expertise in various
domains such as planning, command, and control, as highlighted in the
statement.
