The Ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan
Al-Qudah, explained that the number of Jordanian citizens residing and present
in Gaza, registered with the Ministry, is 569 individuals. Of these, 209 have
been evacuated to Cairo through the Rafah crossing, and 53 have been
transported to the Kingdom through the
Jordanian Royal Air Force evacuation
plane, which was sent by Jordan to El Arish Airport in the Arab Republic of
Egypt last week, carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza.
Ambassador Qudah emphasized that a team from the Jordanian
Embassy in Cairo is still present on the Egyptian side of the
Rafah crossing to
coordinate the entry of Jordanian citizens from Gaza into Egypt, secure their
needs, and ensure their safety and well-being, so that they can be transferred
to the Kingdom as soon as possible.
