Dangers in Khartoum
The park's location within the Al-Baqir area in Southern
Khartoum, which has witnessed intense fighting, resulted in multiple airstrikes
on the park, necessitating the relocation of its animals.
The airstrikes have resulted in injuries to a lioness from
shrapnel, and the park has also been subjected to looting, including theft of
vehicles used to transport employees and provide food for the animals.
The evacuation process will take place in the coming days,
either through the port or the airport in Port Sudan.
