The ministry’s efforts align with the royal directives to secure safe and stable housing for vulnerable and low-income families. Since 2003, the ministry has been providing quality housing and stability. This campaign has assisted over 5,200 families across all governorates in the country to date, Al-Ghad reported.

According to the ministry’s report, 26 homes were delivered to needy families in the Ein Al-Basha and Bani Kenana regions. Additionally, 13 homes were completed in Jerash governorate, awaiting delivery as part of the royal initiatives. Furthermore, 124 housing units were executed, comprising 67 constructions, 30 purchases, and 27 maintenance projects funded by the decentralized budget.

The report highlights the creation of 55 homes for impoverished families, including 38 in the Eastern Badia and 17 in the Al-Shunah Al-Janoubiyah. These families were selected by the ministry based on their applications and inclusion in the ministry’s lists. Additionally, 63 homes were purchased and maintained, with 10 purchases and 53 maintenance projects funded by donations provided to the ministry.

Furthermore, studies have been conducted to provide or renew health insurance coverage for 100,749 impoverished families. Among these, 22,530 applied for health insurance renewal, 78,219 applied for health insurance grants, and 1,832 applied for kidney dialysis expense exemptions.

The report highlights the importance of the nursery sector, as it provides care for children before they reach school age, from birth up to 4 years and 8 months. This contributes to encouraging women to work and achieving economic empowerment for families.

The total number of registered nurseries in the kingdom is 1,122, spread across all regions. Last year, 106 nurseries were registered, including 7 home-based, 45 institutional, and 54 private nurseries. The services provided by these nurseries have benefited 35,000 children, and support has been provided to associations interested in establishing nurseries. This support includes a grant of 5,000 dinars for associations establishing new nurseries and 3,000 dinars for improving existing ones.
