3,441 COVID-19 cases recorded Monday, 17 new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,441 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 11,255 and the total number of cases to 895,564.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman alone recorded 1,269 cases, while Zarqa recorded 434 cases. Irbid registered 642 cases, Balqa 180 cases, Karak recorded 137 cases, Jerash recorded 109 cases, and Tafileh recorded 34 cases. Madaba registered 119 cases, Aqaba 72, Ramtha 139, and Ajloun 85.

The ministry said in a statement that 86 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 126 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 30,903 according to the ministry. Out of 47,391 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 7.26 percent of them came back positive.
