AMMAN — Since the start of winter, three
people have died and 245 were injured due to improper use of heating devices,
according to a Civil Defense Directorate statement, carried by Al-Mamlaka TV.

As of Saturday, a total of 328
heating device accidents have been reported, Lieutenant Mohammad Al-Khatatbeh, director
of Information and Community Police in the Civil Defense Directorate said.
Safety measuresKhatatbeh warned against leaving
heating devices on while sleeping and called for proper ventilation of rooms or
houses.
He also advised against using
heating devices for cooking or drying clothes, keeping them away from
furniture, supervising children, and avoiding fueling heaters while they are
on.
In addition, Khatatbeh called for
not bringing coal stoves into rooms and emphasized the importance of making
sure the gas cylinder is connected properly to the heater.
