In a press statement Tuesday, the ministry said it is currently working on establishing 6 productive branches in a number of the Kingdom's regions, indicating that the initiative came in implementation of the Royal directives to carry out projects in the governorates to reduce the poverty and unemployment problems.

The ministry embarked on implementing the Royal initiative in areas with high poverty and unemployment rates countrywide by attracting investments to Jordan's remote areas and poor communities to create job opportunities.

On government role, the ministry indicated that this initiative provides capital support to the investor, who wishes to invest in production units and branches and offers operational assistance for a 12-month period.

The ministry added that this support covers 50% of workers’ wages from the approved minimum salaries and pays JD25 for transportation allowance and JD25 as a contribution to the worker’s social security subscriptions, with the availability of tax and customs exemptions in accordance with the applicable legislation.
