AMMAN — The number of participants employed and contracted
under the
National Employment Program with private sector establishments
reached 32,700 individuals across various sectors and economic activities,
according to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor Mohammed Al-Zyoud. The registered private
sector facilities in the program amounted to 2,237 as of December 20, Al-Ghad
reported.

On Tuesday, Zyoud said that the beneficiaries of the
National Employment Program from the recipients of the
National Aid Fund amounted to 2,293 individuals, with nearly half of them being women, adding
that the manufacturing sector was the most active in employing job seekers
through the program, followed by the education sector. The least interest was
observed in the information and communication sectors, professional,
scientific, technical, construction, real estate, agriculture, forestry, and
fishing.
Zyoud pointed out that 43 percent of the registered job
seekers in the program hold a bachelor's degree. He also mentioned that
private sector employers carry out employment through the program according to their
needs.
The program contributes JD130 to the salary of each worker
for six months, in addition to a contribution of JD10 to the worker's social
security subscriptions and JD10 as a
transportation allowance.
