AMMAN — There have been 368 cases of
child labor discovered by inspectors from the Ministry of Labor at Jordanian
businesses over the past year, Hala News reported on Monday.

Of those, 268 cases were referred to the
Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development’s Social Support Center, 47 cases were
referred to the community-based Rowad Alkhair Association, 37 cases were
referred to Save the Children, and 16 cases were referred to the Family and
Child Protection Society in Irbid.
A total of 390
persons with
disabilities and adults were given referred opportunities that
lead to employment programs, according to the Labor Ministry, which added that
these cases will be followed up on.
