The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached
50, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 4,085 new cases were
recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 7,987 and the caseload
to 672,090.

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:
1,647 cases
were recorded in Amman.
669 in Irbid.
473 in Zarqa.
201 in Balqa.
327 in
Mafraq.
171 in Karak.
100 in Ajloun.
97 in Aqaba.
124 in Jerash.
112 in Tafileh.
44 in Maan.
132 in Madaba.
The ministry added in a statement that some 2,431 hospitalized
COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 218
others were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands
at around 53,539, according to the ministry’s statement.
More than 610,614 COVID-19 patients, including patients who
had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 12.65 percent of the 32,296 COVID-19 tests that were
conducted today came back positive.
