4.1-magnitude earthquake recorded in Jordan

AMMAN — Jordan Seismological Observatory recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale in the early hours of Wednesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The earthquake was reported to have hit the Negev Desert and Wadi Araba region in southern Jordan at 2:08am on Wednesday. According to the observatory, the quake, at a depth of 16km, was felt by people living in the central and southern regions of the Kingdom.
