The court held its eighth session today into the case of the
hospital running out of oxygen supply, leading to the death of COVID-19
patients.
The court had already posted bail for five other defendants
in the case earlier in the month, including hospital director Abdurrazzaq
Khushman, and the oxygen supply deputy, the medical affairs deputy, the
administrative affairs deputy and the logistics officer at the hospital.
All 13 defendants charged in relation to the case pleaded
“not guilty” in the first public hearing of the case.
The defendants are facing seven counts of charges causing
death by association, in breach of articles 343 and 76 of the
Penal Code.
