AMMAN — On
Thursday evening, the
Juvenile Behavior Monitoring Committee in the Ruseifa
District took action by closing four commercial establishments that were often
frequented by youth. The action was prompted by violations of licensing
conditions and instructions, with a particular focus on addressing the issue of
juvenile smoking.

Assistant Governor Ahmad Al-Qallab explained
that the committee's actions ranged from
providing awareness and guidance to
both young people and their families, as well as offering guidance to
establishment owners, Hala News reported. He emphasized that the committee
remains committed to conducting ongoing inspections throughout the district to
combat the issue of
youth smoking.
In response, Mayor of Ruseifa Shadi Al-Zinati
reaffirmed the municipality's dedication to leveraging all available resources
to serve the district's residents, with a particular focus on young people and
youth. He emphasized that preserving their health is among the municipality's
top priorities.
