AMMAN — The number of outgoing passengers from the Jaber border post in Jordan towards
Syrian territory reached about 5,000 passengers during the Eid al-Fitr period, according to Al-Mamlaka.

There was an active movement of Jordanian travelers and other nationalities at the Jaber border center during the
Eid period. The number of departures within three days reached about 5,000 passengers, most of them Jordanians, in the form of tourist groups.
According to Al-Mamlaka correspondent, the movement of arrivals was weak and reached about 1,100, mostly Syrians, in transit towards the Omari border, which links Jordan with Saudi Arabia.
As for the freight movement during the Eid period, it was weak, and the number of incoming and outgoing trucks reached about 220 only. As for the movement of vehicles during Eid, it was as follows: 342 incoming and 553 departing vehicles.
The average monthly rate, the number of incoming and outgoing passengers, is about 60,000 people, while incoming and outgoing trucks are about 7,500. The number of vehicles is up to 14,000 between incoming and outgoing.
