AMMAN — Five Jordanians who have recently arrived
from India are quarantined at
Queen Alia International Airport, Minister of
Health Feras Al-Hawari said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, an Indian national who tested positive for the
COVID-19 Indian variant is receiving treatment at
Amman field hospital,
according to Hawari, and two other Indian nationals are currently under
surveillance, he added during a meeting with Parliament’s health and
environment committees, noting that other people who came in contact with the
two in question were found to be carriers of the British variant.
The minister noted however that samples are still undergoing
study.
