The
medical teams at the
Jordanian Private Field Hospital/2 are continuing to
provide emergency first aid, conduct major surgeries, and admit several cases
to intensive care. They are also offering necessary healthcare for premature
babies following the resumption of military operations by the Israeli army in
the Gaza Strip, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The
deployment of Private Field Hospital 2 was in response to Royal Directives,
aiming to fulfill all the needs of the people in the Gaza Strip. The hospital
includes medical personnel from various specialties to alleviate the suffering
caused by Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023.
44 nurseries for premature babies
The
hospital has received several premature babies, demonstrating its commitment to
providing medical care for this vulnerable group. It boasts approximately 44
nurseries for premature babies, as reported by the Al-Mamlaka correspondent.
The
medical care is supervised by a specialized Jordanian staff, and a dedicated
department for premature babies has been established to meet the Ministry of
Health's needs in Gaza. This is crucial given the overcrowding of prematurity
departments in hospitals with child cases, contributing to easing this burden,
according to the Al-Mamlaka correspondent.
12 cases from Gaza Strip hospitals
Omar
Al-Maaytah, a pediatric and neonatal specialist at the hospital, stated on
Sunday that they received 12 cases from Gaza Strip hospitals, including three
from the north and the rest from hospitals surrounding the current hospital
headquarters in the south. Maaytah mentioned that the children's conditions
vary, with some stable and others requiring follow-up and treatment.
He
assured the hospital's readiness, in collaboration with Nasser Hospital, to
receive the remaining cases to be transferred in the next two days. Emphasizing
the hospital's preparedness with all necessary medications for treating
premature babies, Maaytah stated that the medical staff is ready to work around
the clock. The hospital received five cases from Nasser Hospital on Sunday,
with the expectation of receiving the remaining cases over the next two days.
12 premature infants
The
head of the prematurity department, Nurse Amna Al-Ajarma, informed Al-Mamlaka
TV on Sunday that the hospital received approximately 12 premature infants in
the prematurity department at the private Jordanian Field Hospital/2 in Gaza.
Their conditions ranged from stable to
critical, including some in need of artificial respirators. She highlighted
that they adhere to the same standards applied in Al-Hussein Medical City.
