Amman - The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that 520 male and female students from Malaysia wish to enroll in public and private Jordanian universities during the next academic year 2024-2025.

The Ministry said that, through its communication with the Education Malaysia Jordan, Embassy of Malaysia in Amman, the attaché confirmed that 417 male and female students will enroll in Jordanian universities at the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025, while 103 male and female students will enroll at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025, noting that These male and female students will be distributed among eight public and private universities In the specializations of the Arabic language, jurisprudence and its principles, fundamentals of religion, Islamic banking, Islamic studies, Qur’anic readings, and economics, students will also join the specializations of medicine, dentistry, and mechanical engineering.
The Ministry added that it is making great efforts to communicate with the Education Malaysia Jordan, Embassy of Malaysia in Amman to overcome any difficulties faced by these students, who are expected to begin arriving in the Kingdom during the coming month of September 2024.
It should be noted that an official delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Tourism Promotion Authority visited Malaysia in November of last year 2023 and visited several Malaysian states and met with officials responsible for sending students, noting that there are currently approximately 1,800 male and female students from Malaysians are currently studying at Jordanian universities.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research seeks to sign an executive program for cultural exchange between the two countries that includes scholarships that benefit students from both parties, in addition to framing joint cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research.
