During a meeting of the
Lower House Economy and Investment Committee, Shamali said that a draft law amending the
Companies Law aims to facilitate procedures for companies and speed up their
registration.
Previously, he said, the process of
registering companies took place in several stages involving a total of 270
requirements.
Now, 42 percent of
commercial applications can receive a professional license on the same day the application
is submitted, he said, noting that more than 90 percent of the work of the
Companies Control Department is electronic.
Shamali indicated that the new
Companies Law is a “progressive law with many advantages and incentives”, and
many parties, including private sector parties, requested that investment funds
be included.
