589 people die in 1,241 road accidents in 2021 — Traffic Department

AMMAN — According to 2021 data by the Traffic Department of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), 1,241 traffic accidents last year resulted in 589 deaths and 14,485 injuries, a local news outlet reported.اضافة اعلان

Data shows that 30 traffic accidents take place in Jordan every day, causing an average of 48 injuries and more than one death per day.

The financial cost of traffic accidents in the Kingdom climbed by 8.1 percent in 2021 over the year before, reaching JD320 million in 2021, compared to JD296 million in 2020.
