AMMAN — The director of the unified
admission coordination unit at the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Muhannad Al-Khatib, stated that the unit has received more than
75,000
university applications at the undergraduate level and 12,000 at the
diploma level as of Tuesday, August 29.

Khatib added that the ministry aims to
announce the admission results by the end of September or at the beginning of
October, 'at the latest,' Addustour reported.
He also noted that the final deadline is next
Thursday afternoon for the approximately 5,500 students who have not
paid the application fees for admission to
universities and colleges.
The unit has extended the application
period for
unified admission to Jordanian public universities for the undergraduate
level and intermediate colleges for the diploma level until 12:00 midnight on
Wednesday, August 30th.
