Amman – Israeli broadcasting authority announced on Sunday that 8 soldiers from the Givati Brigade were injured, including 3 in critical condition, after an explosive device went off in a building in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip, last Friday.

The Israeli army had acknowledged on its official website on Saturday the death of 4 soldiers from the Nahal Brigade, with a further officer and soldier critically wounded, following a powerful blast in Beit Hanoun during clashes in northern Gaza.
Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the army changed its combat tactics in Beit Hanoun after the heavy losses.
The incident that led to the deaths of 4 soldiers prompted the Gaza Division to conduct an investigation and alter the movement and strategy of troops in the area.
The Israeli army's ground maneuver in Beit Hanoun aims to restore security to the Gaza Envelope settlements and Sderot.
Israeli Channel 13 reported that 50 Israeli soldiers have been killed, including 11 in Beit Hanoun, since the beginning of the operation in northern Gaza, adding that 400 soldiers have been killed since the start of the ground operation in Gaza.
