9 new deaths and 1,056 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,056 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, and 9 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,783 and the total caseload to 830,944.اضافة اعلان


The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 406 cases, while Zarqa recorded 74 cases. Irbid registered 192 cases, Balqa 73 cases, Karak recorded 43 cases, Jerash 31 cases, and Tafileh 7 new cases, while Madaba registered 29 new cases, Aqaba 84, and Ajloun 41.

The ministry said in a statement that 46 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals Thursday, while 45 new cases were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 13,457 according to the ministry. From the 27,901 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 3.78 percent came back positive.
