Jordan Valley launched its 9th annual Eid al-Khubbayza (Feast
of Khubbayza) in partnership with the non-profit organization. Khubbayza, an
Arabic term for mallow, is a wild plant cooked as a vegetable in many Levantine
dishes. According to the festival’s director, Mohammad Atiyeh, the festival
aims to empower women economically by creating a platform for marketing natural
products and handicrafts.

added that this year’s festival also honors the
people in Gaza through murals
as well as other activities. The festival, which is set to continue until March
21, includes activities for all ages, Khaberni reported.
