The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that a large force of the Israeli army raided Meithalun, surrounded the home of Hassan Ali Hassan Raba’ia (37 years old), and fired a barrage of bullets at the house, resulting in his injury.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that occupation forces prevented its medical teams from reaching Raba’ia inside the besieged house. He was arrested and later declared martyred due to his injuries.
Raba’ia was the father of the martyr child Ali Raba’ia (15 years old), who was killed by occupation forces' gunfire during a raid on Meithalun in July last year.
In a related incident, four Palestinians were injured early today by Israeli occupation forces during a raid on the Old City of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its medical teams treated four injuries caused by Israeli gunfire to the abdomen and hand during the raid and transported them to city hospitals.
Large Israeli forces stormed Nablus from several entrances, spread around the Old City, and imposed a military cordon in the vicinity of Martyrs' Square and the National Hospital. They also raided Askar’s old and new refugee camps, searched several homes, and vandalized their contents.
