According to a statement by the Ministry of Transport Wednesday, the transport ministers of Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq learned about the ABM's activities during the year 2024, as the company continued to achieve its goals despite the state of instability due to the current regional conditions and the subsequent disruption of maritime operations in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden region.

The ministers said this partnership, which operates on "flexible" foundations, action plans and strategies that align with international and regional changes, has achieved "positive" results and continued its leadership in the maritime transport industry.

Over 200,000 passengers and 60,000 trucks were transported via the Aqaba-Nuweiba maritime route, the statement announced.

Moreover, the ministers stressed the ABM's "important" role in the trade movement, as a link connecting Asia, Africa and Europe and an Arab economic and social bridge.

The ministers also noted the importance of continuing development and modernization policy, noting the necessity of opening new horizons for the ABM by creating new shipping routes for its fleet, especially in the Red Sea region, which enhances the company's position in the maritime transport industry.

Speaking during the meeting, Tahtamouni, praised the ABM's "distinguished" achievements and results during the past five years, which reflect its leadership's "extensive" knowledge and awareness of the maritime transport industry, a "high" degree of responsibility, professionalism and craftsmanship, and the necessary skills to follow up on operations.
