Amman - The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Board of Directors convened on Thursday with Bangladesh's Ambassador to Jordan, Noor Saifur Rahman, to discuss boosting economic cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.

The meeting explored strategies to enhance mutual investment, encourage private sector collaboration, and promote tourism between the two nations.
Discussions also emphasized the importance of organizing economic delegation visits and establishing joint trade partnerships to drive bilateral trade growth.
Nabil Khatib, Vice Chairman of the ACC, highlighted the modest trade volume between Jordan and Bangladesh, which amounted to only JD24 million during the first nine months of this year. He called for activating trade agreements and leveraging investment opportunities in both countries through initiatives such as joint trade exhibitions and product promotions.
Rahman reiterated Bangladesh's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in economic domains. He underscored key Bangladeshi exports, including tea, ceramics, and fabrics, as products that could benefit the Jordanian market.
Members of the ACC’s Board emphasized the critical role of private sector cooperation in identifying and capitalizing on economic and investment opportunities to expand trade exchanges between the two nations.
