AND seizes 2.4 tonnes of narcotics, arrests 1,094 suspects in August 2023

AMMAN — In August 2023, the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) pursued drug-related activities vigorously, handling 636 cases and arresting 1,094 individuals, including dealers and high-risk individuals. The seized substances included 224 kg of cannabis, half a million Captagon tablets, 4,000 other narcotic tablets, 7.4 kg of crystal meth, 13 kg of marijuana, 2 kg of synthetic cannabis, and 600 grams of synthetic cannabis powder, along with firearms.اضافة اعلان

Simultaneously, the division conducted 925 awareness activities, collaborated with academic and media partners, and admitted 80 cases to the Addiction Treatment Center for rehabilitation, Ammon News reported.
