Aqaba - Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Chief Commissioner Nayef Al Fayez said Tuesday that drawing up an integrated risk management plan is a pressing need to better deal with potential risks to achieve strategic objectives, ensure institutional sustainability and create a stable environment for development.

Addressing a training workshop on risk management, Al Fayez said the workshop is part ASEZA's efforts to implement its strategic plan for the years 2024-2028, and the 2040 master plan to achieve sustainable development in the Aqaba region, boost institutional readiness and improve overall performance.
He urged adopting proactive policies to deal with risks that include readiness and the capacity to adapt to changes, stressing the authority's commitment to activating leadership roles to achieve institutional goals efficiently.
For her part, Institutional Development Director Enas Al-Qassaimeh said the workshop is to enhance understanding of potential risks ASEZA may face, and come up with innovative strategies to deal with them effectively.
