Press Release — Abdali Hospital’s founder and vice chairman, Ahmad Abu
Ghazaleh, received the first ever Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center
Business Entrepreneurship Award for the Middle East on Tuesday, a press
statement said.

This award is in recognition of Abu Ghazaleh's contribution to
entrepreneurship in Jordan and the region, and his specific role in leading
Abdali Hospital.
During the ceremony, Abu Ghazaleh was recognized alongside three
other figures from the MENA region, including Magdi Yacoub who received the
Social Impact Award and Fatma Said, who received the Artistic Excellence Award.
The late Zaha Hadid was recognized with a special tribute for
her pioneering architectural work.
Abu Ghazaleh said: "I am honoured to receive this award,
which is a testimony to the work of our team, driven by our purpose to serve
our patients to the best of our capability. I thank the continuous
support of our funders and partners. I am proud and grateful of this
recognition extensive to our entire community”.
The distinguished awards ceremony took place at the Kennedy
Center in Washington DC, in the presence of international political, business,
and social leaders with an interest in the Middle East.
The Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center’s mission is to
understand trends and educate the transatlantic community about the changes
underway, offer policy recommendations, and sponsor impactful programs that can
help unlock the human and economic potential of the region.
Abdali Hospital is a 200 bed multi-specialty hospital, with the
mission to provide best practice patient-centred care and to promote research
and education in MENA.
