"The Declaration stands as a watershed moment in our collective journey toward establishing fundamental values of justice, freedom, and equality," said Abdallat in a statement marking the annual observance on December 10th.

He emphasized the Declaration's enduring significance in enshrining basic rights and liberties for all, transcending barriers of gender, race, religion, and other distinctions.

Speaking on Tuesday, Abdallat reflected on this year's theme, "Our Rights, Our Future, Now," describing human rights not merely as legal obligations but as "catalysts for transformation" that propel societies toward stability, development, and peace.

Under the stewardship of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan has emerged as a steadfast advocate for human rights, championing these principles both domestically and on the international stage.

Abdallat highlighted His Majesty's unwavering advocacy for Palestinian rights, emphasizing that a just and lasting peace in the region hinges on ending the occupation and securing Palestinians' right to an independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

"This principled stance," he noted, "embodies Jordan's profound commitment to justice and human dignity."

The Kingdom has distinguished itself as a cornerstone of regional stability, actively working to resolve conflicts through dialogue and meaningful partnership. "Ending conflicts is not simply a moral imperative," Abdallat asserted, "but a fundamental prerequisite for sustainable economic and social development that safeguards future generations."

Jordan's exemplary role in providing sanctuary and protecting refugee rights stems from its deeply rooted national and humanitarian values, Abdallat explained.

He emphasized that addressing global challenges – whether conflicts, economic crises, or climate issues – demands enhanced international cooperation and concerted efforts to forge more equitable societies.

"The empowerment of individuals to exercise their fundamental rights with freedom and dignity illuminates the path toward a more prosperous and stable future," Abdallat concluded.

He reaffirmed Jordan's dedication to strengthening its human rights framework through legislative reforms, expanded partnerships with national and international institutions, and heightened public awareness of these essential rights.
