Amman, The annual report for 2024 highlighted key details of the progress made in the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025) within the cybersecurity sector. The report showed that 10 initiatives were implemented as part of the plan to improve Jordan's ranking in cybersecurity indicators.اضافة اعلان
The number of government sectors that had their cybersecurity systems improved and developed reached 2, while 90 national institutions were added to the monitoring and analysis systems for government networks.
The report also revealed that 48 newly developed government digital assets (services, websites, applications, etc.) underwent security testing, and 2 global cybersecurity organizations and forums were joined. Additionally, 2 cybersecurity services had licensing instructions prepared.
Among the major achievements through the expansion project for cybersecurity services was the enhancement of cybersecurity in 60 government institutions through infrastructure development projects. To strengthen cybersecurity partnerships, local partnerships were established with the private sector, and memorandums of cooperation with international entities were approved. Furthermore, the second Jordan Cybersecurity Summit was launched, along with awareness initiatives and capacity-building programs in collaboration with academic sectors.
Under the cybersecurity governance project, the Cybersecurity Excellence Award was launched to encourage adherence to cybersecurity standards, and the 2024 licensing system for cybersecurity service providers was issued. The classification of critical infrastructure sectors and the identification of digital assets supporting essential national services were also accomplished. Additionally, the National Training Plan and the National Cybersecurity Framework were prepared, targeting 100 government institutions by 2025.
A draft cybersecurity strategy for the energy sector was prepared, along with cybersecurity protection standards for critical infrastructures, and consultation meetings with operators were held.
