AMMAN —
The Aqaba Container Terminal added 15 container handler machines at a cost of
JD1.5 million, to improve the efficiency of handling, and enhancing the
transport and supply chain, and the competitiveness of the port in the region,
according to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Al-Mamlaka TV
reported.
ASEZA’s Chief Commissioner Nayef A. Bakheet said that
the new sophisticated mechanisms will contribute to the development of the
Aqaba Bay transport system and provide optimal service to local and transit
trade and delivery of various types of goods to their destinations.
