AMMAN — Head of the
Jordanian Bar Association Mazen Irsheidat said that administrative detention is an affront to
the judicial authority and failure to implement its decisions on the part of
the executive authority, according to Jo24.

Irsheidat said that administrative detention is
unacceptable and violates the law, adding that the aggrieved parties may file a
complaint against those who deprive them of freedom in this way. He added that
there are precedents in this matter, on which judicial ruling have been made.
Irsheidat said that the
Crime Prevention Law is an
exceptional piece of legislation that cannot be arbitrarily used, pointing to
the suffering of citizens who are placed in administrative detention after they
are released by the courts.
