AMMAN — The Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) has disbursed JD620,000 in interest-free loans to 38 cow breeders affected by the foot-and-mouth (FMD) virus in 2023, as revealed by ACC Director General Mohammad Dogan. These loans, with a maximum limit of JD40,000 each, will aid in rehabilitating farms impacted by the epidemic and supporting farmers in resuming their operations.اضافة اعلان

Dogan urged affected cow breeders seeking these loans to promptly visit their nearest ACC branch to complete the necessary procedures, noting that the lending program for the current year is reaching its conclusion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

Instructions for the compensation bylaw for farmers affected by agricultural risks in 2023 were published in the official gazette on Sunday. The bylaw makes clear that the Agricultural Risk Management Fund Law encompasses compensation for various damages, risks, and diseases affecting plants and animals. The minister will establish one or more committees, referred to as the "Damage Inspection Committee," responsible for physically inspecting affected farms and preparing technical inspection reports.
