The committee recommended postponing the "Dragon Storm" loan application until the end of the current year, a recommendation accepted by the Director-General of the Agricultural Credit Corporation.

They also suggested contacting the Ministry of Finance to increase the institution's capital from JD75 million to JD100 million, enabling it to fulfill its obligations to farmers in alignment with economic modernization strategies and the national plan for sustainable agriculture, Hala News reported.

The committee’s history
Deputy Mohammad Al-Alaqma mentioned that the institution has provided JD1 billion in loans to support and improve the agricultural sector since its inception.

He stated that the institution granted approximately 56 million interest-free loans during the years 2021-2022, specifically for supporting specialized crops, agricultural production requirements, and empowering unemployed women and youth. Despite the rising interest rates, the institution reduced interest rates on agricultural loans by 1 percent last year.
