AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khaled Al-Hanaifat met with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative in Jordan, Nabil Assaf, on Wednesday to discuss joint projects to maximize water harvesting under the National Plan for Sustainable Agriculture (2022-2025), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
According to a statement by the ministry on Thursday, the plan targets 10,000 wells and 60 earth-fill dams and embankments, which will benefit urban water supply and livestock breeders in Badia and across the governorates.
During the meeting, the minister praised the FAO's ongoing collaboration with the ministry to develop Jordan's agricultural sector.
