Awadhi added that
the
World Cup, to be held in Qatar, is an opportunity for Arab airlines and
other airlines in the region to return to the levels recorded before the
pandemic.
He said that the figures for the second half of this
year for travel and air traffic in the Middle East are promising, and point to
a return to pre-pandemic levels.
According to Awadhi, passenger traffic in the
Middle East “decreased last year 2021 by 34 percent compared to 2019”.
