AMMAN —
More than 55 percent of the Ajloun Cable Cars Project has been concluded,
according to the chairman of the Board of the Jordan Free and Development Zones
Group, Khalaf Hemesat, who said that the project is working according to the
scheduled timeline, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Hemesat stated on
Monday that work on the project is now in the phase of calibration of the
electric and service system, which includes the installation of cabins and its
supplementary needs, among other requirements.
He said the project is expected to be ready by end of June, complete
with restaurants, shops and cafes.
Work on the 2.5
aerial km long Ajloun Cable Cars project began end of May 2020, starting at its
first station on Al-Suwan development area in Ajloun; with a second station
nearby the Ajloun Castle. The project
comprises 40 cars, each has a capacity for eight people.
The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group is working to
develop the “Suwan” development zone, which has a location advantage
overlooking Ajloun hills, in addition to the nearby important tourist
attractions such as Ajlloun Castle, Ishtafina tourist park tourism, and the
environmental tourist site of Ajloun Forest Reserve.
