AMMAN — Officials in Ajloun have hailed the Ajloun cable car project as a catalyst for development in various tourism, economic, and social sectors. The project's unique specifications and services offer a significant opportunity for the region, according to an official statement released on Friday, according to a Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Governor Qablan Al-Sharif emphasized the natural beauty and lush forests that cover 34 percent of Ajloun's total lands. He underscored that the cable car project, initiated by the royal family, presents a chance for collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The project aims to promote sustainable development, investment, and further encourages the implementation of complementary ventures in proximity to the cable car project. Such initiatives are expected to have a positive impact on the overall growth and prosperity of the governorate.
Ajloun, known for its captivating tourist and archaeological sites, attracts approximately two million visitors annually. To enhance these attractions and improve the infrastructure of the surrounding roads, the governorate council has allocated JD3 million from its budget.
Mohammad Deek, Director of Ajloun Tourism Department, emphasized that the cable car project is a national endeavor with the potential to revolutionize tourism and boost economic growth. He stressed the importance of marketing and promoting the project by encouraging visitors to experience this unparalleled tourism offering at a kingdom-wide level.
