AMMAN — Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG), Khalaf Hmeisat, revealed the
much-anticipated opening of the Ajloun Cable Car to the public on Friday.

This exciting development aims to enhance tourism in the
region while providing numerous job opportunities for the local community,
Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Ticket prices and the experience
According to Hmeisat, the ticket prices for riding the
cable cars in Ajloun have been set at JD4 for Jordanians and JD8 for non-Jordanians.
The journey itself is expected to last approximately 10 minutes, allowing
visitors to enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
The
cable car stretches over an impressive 2.5 kilometers,
starting from the first station situated within the designated area for the
company in the Ajloun Development Zone.
The second station is conveniently located near the iconic
Ajloun Castle, a popular historical attraction in the area.
Job opportunities
With the opening of the Ajloun Cable Car, the local economy
is set to receive a significant boost. Hmeisat emphasized that the project's
implementation will provide a minimum of 700 job opportunities.
The facilities surrounding the departure station will
include a restaurant, café, and a commercial market, further contributing to
the local economy. Likewise, the arrival station will feature a seasonal
market, restaurant, and café, catering to the needs and preferences of the
visitors.
Hmeisat expressed his confidence that the Ajloun Cable Car
project will serve as a compelling attraction for potential investments in the
region. Moreover, he underlined the group's commitment to employing local
workers from the Ajloun Governorate, prioritizing their involvement in the
project whenever possible.
